These molds were made from my antique doll, which has no markings on the head or shoulder plate. She was probably made by Simon and Halbig for the French market. The painting style is typical of other French fashion dolls. She has cobalt blue oval enamel eyes and her ears are pierced through the lobe into the head. There is a narrow rim around the opening on the back of the head. Head is connected to shoulder plate with French-style spring and cotter pin. Very thin leather lines the neck of the shoulder plate, which also has sew holes. When I purchased her she had no body, arms or wig. Most likely she had a leather body and bisque lower arms. Compo or leather body - 9 inch, 6mm oval low profile paperweight eyes, 5 1/2" head cirumference. Price includes worksheet. Domestic Flat Rate Priority Mail shipping is $10.95. |
